CroxYou

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

These terms form an agreement between you and Diego Ofano, the operator of CroxYou. By creating an account or using the app or https://croxyou.com, you accept them.

1. What CroxYou is

CroxYou is a professional networking service. It helps members discover professionally relevant people, events and travel overlaps in a city, take part in professional discussions in the Community, and turn all of this into real-world professional meetings. It is not a dating service, a recruitment agency, an event organiser or a provider of professional advice.

2. Eligibility and account registration

  • · You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
  • · You may register with email, or with Google, LinkedIn or Apple sign-in.
  • · One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and device secure and for all activity under your account.
  • · Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.

3. Accuracy of your profile

The value of CroxYou depends on members being who they say they are. You agree that your name, professional information, company, role and any CV you upload are accurate and your own, and that you will keep them up to date. Impersonation, fake identities and deliberately misleading professional claims are grounds for removal.

4. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You must follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you may not:

  • · Use CroxYou for romantic or dating solicitation.
  • · Send spam, bulk sales pitches, chain messages or unsolicited recruitment blasts.
  • · Harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against other members.
  • · Misrepresent your identity, employer or role, or use another member's data outside the app.
  • · Scrape, copy, resell or systematically extract member data or event data.
  • · Attempt to bypass security, authentication, rate limits or access controls, or disrupt the service.
  • · Use the service for anything unlawful.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your profile information, messages, Community discussions and replies, and uploaded documents. You grant CroxYou a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and transmit that content solely to operate the service, for example showing your profile to relevant members, displaying your discussion to signed-in members, or delivering your message to a connection. You are responsible for the content you publish or send, and for having the right to share it.

6. Events

Events shown in CroxYou may be created by members or collected from public sources. Unless clearly stated otherwise, CroxYou is not the organiser and is not responsible for any event's accuracy, availability, price, admission rules, cancellation or conduct. Always check the organiser's own information before attending. Marking “I’m going” is an indication to other members, not a registration with the organiser.

7. Introductions, matching and meetings

Recommendations, matches and introductions are automated suggestions based on the information members provide. They are not guarantees of relevance, availability, professional standing, business outcome or any commercial result. When you express an interest in meeting someone, you may attach a short optional note, which is shown to that person; messaging only becomes available once both members have accepted, so no one receives your messages without agreeing to the introduction first.

Meetings arranged through CroxYou take place between members, offline and at their own initiative and risk. Use ordinary professional judgement: meet in public places where appropriate, and verify claims independently before entering into any business relationship. CroxYou is not a party to any agreement you reach with another member.

8. Community

The Community lets members post discussions, with a subject and a body, in a chosen topic, reply to other members, mark replies as helpful and follow discussions. Community content is visible to all signed-in members. You may post a discussion anonymously: your name is hidden from other members, but your account remains linked to the post internally for moderation and legal purposes, and posting anonymously does not reduce your responsibility for what you write. Replies cannot be anonymous.

9. Community content is member-generated

Discussions and replies are written by members. CroxYou does not endorse, verify, fact-check or take responsibility for their accuracy, completeness or lawfulness. Nothing posted in the Community is legal, tax, regulatory, compliance, investment, financial or other professional advice, and you must not rely on it as such. Always take your own qualified advice before acting.

You must not post in the Community:

  • · Confidential or non-public information, including client-identifying information.
  • · Anything covered by a non-disclosure agreement, professional secrecy, or a duty of confidentiality owed to your employer or a client.
  • · Inside information, or anything whose disclosure would breach market-abuse, data-protection or professional conduct rules.
  • · Recruitment blasts, sales pitches, product promotion or other solicitation outside the topic intended for it.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that what you post complies with your own professional, regulatory and contractual obligations.

10. Screening, reporting, suspension and termination

Community subjects, discussion bodies and reply bodies are screened automatically before they are stored, and content matching prohibited categories is refused and never published. Any member can report a discussion, a reply or another member, and can block another member. We may remove or hide content, and restrict, suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the Community Guidelines, or where necessary to protect members or the service, in urgent cases without prior notice. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. Report abuse or unlawful content to contact@croxyou.com.

11. Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent: your authentication account, profile, uploaded documents, messages, connections, meetings, trips, event attendance, Community discussions and replies, and push registrations are removed as described in the Privacy Policy and on the Delete your account page. You will no longer be able to sign in or recover the account.

12. Intellectual property

The CroxYou name, logo, design, software and content (other than member content) belong to the operator and are protected by intellectual property law. You receive a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. No other right is granted.

13. Service availability and changes

CroxYou is currently free to use, and provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and the service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Third-party services and links

The service relies on third-party providers (hosting and authentication, identity providers, push notification delivery, email delivery, automated CV processing and map or place lookup) and may link to third-party websites such as event organiser pages. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, opportunity or data, or for the conduct, statements or content of other members, or for anything that happens at a meeting or event arranged through the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated in the app. Continuing to use CroxYou after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of Luxembourg, and the competent courts of Luxembourg have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence.
