Delete your account
Last updated: September 2026
You can permanently delete your CroxYou account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data.
1. How to delete your account in the app
- · Open the CroxYou app and sign in.
- · Go to You (your profile) → Settings.
- · Choose Delete Account.
- · Confirm. The deletion runs immediately.
You do not need to contact us, and there is no waiting period or approval step.
2. Deletion is permanent
Deleting your account cannot be undone. Once it completes you can no longer sign in, and the account cannot be restored or recovered. If you want a copy of your information, request it before you delete, by writing to privacy@croxyou.com.
3. How long it takes
Deletion runs immediately, while you wait, and normally completes within a few seconds. The app only confirms deletion once your sign-in account has actually been removed and that removal has been verified; if any step fails, you are told the deletion did not complete rather than being shown a false confirmation. Routine encrypted backups of the database may still contain your data for a short period until they age out in the normal cycle.
4. What is deleted
The following is permanently removed:
- · Your sign-in account, so you can no longer authenticate.
- · Your profile: name, headline, biography, role, company, industry, expertise, interests, languages, education, experience, city and profile photo.
- · Your uploaded CV and any CV drafts, plus generated share images.
- · Your Community discussions and replies, the replies written by other members underneath your discussions, your helpful marks, your followed discussions, and reports you filed.
- · Your connections and all messages inside them, meetings, meeting feedback, introductions and "I'd like to meet" interests including any notes attached to them.
- · Your event attendance, event availability and event reports, your trips and travel plans, and your open-to-meet information.
- · Your notifications, notification preferences, blocks you set, registered push devices and any linked LinkedIn identity.
- · Invitations you sent, including Community invitations.
5. What is kept without your identity
- · Events and shared records that other members still rely on are retained, without your personal identifiers.
- · Administrative and event-moderation audit entries are kept for security and abuse prevention, with the reference to your account removed so the entry can no longer be attributed to you.
- · Invitations that someone else sent to you are kept for that sender, with the link to your account removed.
- · Routine encrypted backups, until they age out in the normal cycle.
6. If you can no longer sign in
If you have lost access to your account and cannot reach the in-app option, write to contact@croxyou.com from the email address associated with the account. We will verify the request before deleting anything.
